Who’s Hosting This Sunday’s Virtual Jam?

This week’s jam is hosted by TUG’s very own Dana Carter! Here is what she has to say about herself:

” I am a hairdresser, yogi, animal fanatic, music lover not afraid to sing out loud @ the drop of a hat…on or off key. I come from a very musical family, then married a musician, recording studio owner  and created my own. We have 2 awesome daughters, Gabby & Peyton, 1 dog, Moses and 3 (too many) cats.

Picked up an ukulele for the very 1st time while on vacation on Maui in 2017 during a crazy 38 hour tropical rainstorm (it dropped over 7 inches) so I sat on my lanai watching the squall with my uke and a couple iPad apps . Once home I started searching how to actually learn to play and googled UKULELE and my zip code….thus my love affair with the Tigard Ukulele Group began. I love (almost) all types of music, my playlists are  a bit eclectic . and what I don’t have ,yet, in technical skill I make up for with enthusiasm.”

Helpful Zoom Tips

  1. Zoom is like a video chat with multiple people. Just click the link, and then it will prompt you to download the software. You can run it on your computer, but you can use it on your phone too. It will be difficult to have everyone playing altogether because of latency, so the leader will mute everyone during the song so you’ll hear just the leader singing and playing, and then we’ll unmute between songs so that we can chat.
  2. Have your music book available on a different device than you’re using for the Zoom (for example, Zoom on your computer or phone, and music on your tablet).”See” you Sunday!
  3. We can only have 100 people on at a time, first come first served.
